What vessel bunkering means

Vessel bunkering is the physical supply and transfer of marine fuel to a ship. Seven Ocean coordinates the entire operation — from confirming availability against your ETA to handing over a compliant delivery — for every class of vessel calling Indian ports. As an independent vessel bunkering company we are not tied to one barge operator, so we match the right physical supplier and delivery method to each nomination.

Delivery methods

We arrange vessel bunkering by all standard modes: barge-to-ship at anchorage and berth (the default at most Indian ports), pipeline at dedicated oil terminals such as Jawahar Dweep, and truck-to-ship for smaller LSMGO and HSD stems alongside. Bunker barge and bunker tanker vessel capacity is confirmed against your schedule before nomination.

Vessel types we bunker

Our vessel bunkering services cover tankers, bulk carriers, container ships, general and breakbulk cargo vessels, cruise tonnage, Ro-Ro, naval and offshore support vessels. Whether it is cargo vessel bunkering, tanker vessel bunkering or commercial vessel bunkering, the procurement approach stays the same: competing quotes from available physical suppliers, confirmed barge capacity, and proper documentation.

Quantity, quality and documentation

Every stem is delivered with a MARPOL Annex VI–compliant Bunker Delivery Note and a representative manifold sample. We can arrange an independent bunker quantity survey for larger stems and coordinate fuel quality testing on request, protecting you against short delivery and off-spec fuel.

Available at every Indian port

We deliver this service across all 25 Indian ports and our international hubs in the UAE, Sri Lanka and Singapore. A few of our busiest:
